The 2025 Polestar 3 has 8 recalls, the most serious being a damaged high-to-low voltage converter that can cause a sudden loss of drive power, and a panoramic sunroof that can detach and become a road hazard.
Water getting into the wiring connectors between the engine bay and front bumper harnesses can cause several electrical failures, including loss of power steering assist, which makes the wheel feel significantly heavier, particularly at low speeds, and can also disable driver assistance features like the pedestrian warning and parking systems. On the structural side, the front bumper may be missing bolts and can separate from the vehicle, and the rear seat backrest striker brackets may be loose, meaning the backrest can fold forward in a crash and allow cargo to enter the passenger cabin. The rearview camera has its own issue, where a software problem can cause it to either fail to display at all or show the wrong camera view when reversing, reducing the driver's view behind the vehicle.
