2015 PORSCHE CAYMAN Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2015 Porsche Cayman has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the front hood latch and a rear axle carrier, either of which can cause a sudden loss of vehicle control. The hood latch on certain vehicles can fail to hold the hood closed while driving, allowing it to fly open and block the driver's forward view entirely. Separately, the rear axle carrier can fracture, which can cause the rear suspension to lose its structural anchor and the driver to lose control of the car. There is also a documentation issue: the owner's manual may not give clear enough instructions for installing a child safety seat, which could result in the seat being improperly secured in a crash.
