The 2016 Scion FR-S has 3 recalls, the most serious being an ignition defect on automatic transmission models where the key can be removed while the car is still in gear, allowing the vehicle to roll away.
This recall only affects vehicles with a traditional ignition key; push-to-start models are not affected. The two remaining recalls both involve an incorrect Load Carrying Capacity label on certain vehicles distributed through Southeast Toyota, where the label understates the weight of installed accessories and can lead an owner to unknowingly overload the vehicle.
