The 2024 Tesla Model 3 has 4 recalls, the most serious involving a hood latch that can fail to detect when the hood is not fully closed, allowing it to fly open while driving and blocking the driver's view.
A single vehicle is affected by a recall where the driver's side airbag was assembled without a deflector that controls how gas flows during deployment, meaning the airbag can inflate incorrectly in a crash and raise the risk of injury. On the electronics side, a circuit board in the rearview camera system can short out and cause the camera display to go blank when reversing, leaving the driver without a rear view. The tire pressure monitoring system can also fail to keep its warning light on between drives, so low tire pressure may go unnoticed and leave the driver unaware of an underinflated tire.
