The 2010 Toyota Camry has 6 recalls, the most serious being a brake fluid leak where a power steering hose clamp can wear through the left rear brake tube, reducing braking ability and raising the risk of a crash.
On 4-cylinder models, the power steering pressure hose can be too short, leaving insufficient clearance between the hose crimp and the brake tube, which accelerates that wear. The accelerator pedal is also recalled: it can become hard to press, slow to return to idle, or stick in a partially depressed position. Vehicles equipped with aftermarket heated seats face a separate concern, where a damaged copper heating element can short circuit and start a fire. There is also a brake light switch issue on certain vehicles where silicone grease contamination can cause the brake lights to stop working, leaving following drivers without warning that the vehicle is slowing. Finally, some vehicles carry an inaccurate tire and load information label, which could lead to overloading.
