2015 TOYOTA RAV4 Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2015 Toyota RAV4 has two recalls, the more serious being a replacement 12-volt battery that may not seat properly in its tray, allowing it to shift, contact the hold-down bracket, and cause a short circuit that can start a fire. On vehicles equipped with an accessory trailer light module, a software error in the module can misread the electrical circuit as a short and shut off the trailer lights while towing. If this happens at night, other drivers may not see the trailer, raising the risk of a collision.
