The 2017 Toyota Yaris has 3 recalls, the most serious involving wire harnesses inside the front doors that can crack and corrode, potentially preventing the side airbags and curtain airbags from deploying in a crash.
The remaining two recalls are compliance-related. One affects vehicles equipped with factory-installed floor mats: the load carrying capacity label may display incorrect information, which can lead an owner to unknowingly overload the vehicle beyond its safe limits. The other recall covers vehicles where the spare tire was not inflated to the correct pressure at the time of distribution, meaning the spare may not perform as expected if it needs to be used after a flat.
