2021 VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan has 4 recalls, the most serious involving rear suspension knuckles that can corrode, crack, and break while driving, causing sudden loss of vehicle stability. The remaining recalls cover two separate concerns. The accessory rear hatch spoiler, if installed using incorrect instructions, may not be properly secured and can detach from the vehicle at speed, becoming a road hazard. On the visibility side, a software problem can cause the rearview camera to go blank or freeze when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, reducing what the driver can see while backing up. Note that the spoiler recall only applies to vehicles with that accessory installed.
