Recalls 1 and 3 describe the same underlying brake cam tube defect. I'll treat them as a single issue.
The 2006 Volvo VNL has 3 recalls, the most serious being a steering drag link that can separate completely and cause total loss of steering control.
The drag link connects the steering gear to the front axle, and a ball socket in that link can separate, leaving the driver with no ability to steer the truck. On the brake side, this recall affects trucks equipped with super single tires: suspension vibration can crack the mounting brackets that hold the brake cam tubes in place, and if those brackets fail, the brakes at the affected wheel end stop working, raising the risk of a crash.
