The 2019 Volvo VNRE has 2 recalls, both involving electrical faults that can cause components to overheat and raise the risk of fire. Two separate heating circuit issues affect this battery electric truck. The cabin heater relay can fail, allowing the coolant heater to overheat. In a related issue, loose power cable connections at the windscreen heater relay can cause that relay to stick in the closed position, continuously powering the cabin heater and overheating the relay itself. Both faults lead to the same fire risk.
