The 2021 Volvo VNRE has 3 recalls, all centered on fire risk from electrical faults in this battery-electric truck's heating and high-voltage systems. Two recalls involve the cabin and windscreen heating circuits: a cabin heater relay may fail and allow the coolant heater to overheat, and loose power cable connections at the windscreen heater relay can cause that relay to stick on and overheat as well. In both cases, the overheating component raises the risk of fire. The third recall involves the high-voltage battery, where threaded inserts inside the pack can break and cause an internal short circuit, which also creates a fire risk.
