2011 VOLVO XC70 Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2011 Volvo XC70 has 3 recalls, the most serious being engine software that is too sensitive to braking and throttle input, which can cause the engine to stall suddenly and without warning in city driving. The two remaining recalls both affect occupant protection in a crash. A fault in the wiring connector for the driver's airbag clockspring can cause the frontal airbag to fail to deploy, leaving the driver without that protection in a collision. The front seatbelts are also affected by a separate recall where a component can fail to function correctly, leaving an occupant inadequately restrained in a crash.
