The 2010 Volvo XC70 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the front seatbelt system and the driver's airbag, both of which can fail to protect occupants in a crash.
The front seatbelt pretensioner can fail to properly secure the occupant during a collision, raising the risk of injury. A separate issue affects the clockspring wiring connector behind the steering wheel: an intermittent fault in that connector can prevent the driver's frontal airbag from deploying at all in a crash. The third recall is a compliance matter involving the tire information label, which does not meet federal requirements for tire selection and rim size data.
