The 2019 Yamaha YZF-R3 has 3 recalls, all centered on the front brake system, with the most serious being a front brake lever that can crack and break under firm grip, reducing the rider's ability to slow the motorcycle.
The other two recalls both involve brake fluid leaks that can also compromise front braking. In one, the front brake hose can rub against the horn lead wire as the handlebars are turned, wearing through the hose over time until fluid escapes. In the other, a brake hose holder can work loose, damaging the protective sleeve around the hose and eventually allowing fluid to leak from the hose itself. In both cases, fluid loss reduces hydraulic pressure in the front brake circuit, meaning the lever pulls with less resistance and the front wheel slows less than expected.
