Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2022 A3 Sedan and S3 Sedan vehicles. The child seat anchorage fitting sleeves are incorrectly marked with a different symbol than the one described in the owner's manual. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."

An incorrectly marked child restraint anchorage may cause confusion during child seat installation, resulting in a child seat being improperly secured and increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
Remedy

On certain vehicles, covers were not installed over the horizontal headlamp adjusters. As a result, the headlamps may be adjusted horizontally. Canadian regulations do not allow for horizontal headlamp adjustment unless the vehicle is equipped with a built-in aiming device.
Safety Risk
Headlamps that are not properly adjusted could cause reduced visibility or glare for oncoming drivers, and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Lamborghini will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install caps over the headlamp adjustment screws.
On certain vehicles, a part in the trunk release latch could fail. If this happens, the emergency trunk release located inside the trunk compartment may not work properly. This could prevent a person that is trapped inside the trunk from opening it.

If a person is closed inside the trunk compartment, they may not be able to get out. This could create a risk of injury.
Remedy
Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect trunk latch and, if necessary, replace the trunk latch base.
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2020 Sonata and Sonata Hybrid, and 2019 Genesis G70 vehicles. The trunk latch may become damaged, preventing the opening of the trunk from the inside. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 401, "Internal Trunk Release."

A person inside the trunk compartment may become trapped, increasing their risk of injury.
Remedy

Harley-Davidson Motor Company (Harley-Davidson) is recalling certain 2021-2022 XL1200X, XL883N, and 2021 XL1200NS XL Sportster motorcycles. The brake fluid warning labels may detach from the brake fluid reservoir caps. As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 122, "Motorcycle Brake Systems."

Missing brake fluid warning labels may lead to improper brake system maintenance, affecting brake performance and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2022 RS5 coupe and RS5 Sportback vehicles. The value for the maximum combined weight of occupants and cargo on the B-pillar Tire and Loading information label is incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire and Loading Information."

While referencing the B-pillar label, the operator may overload the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy

On certain RS 5 Coupe and Sportback models, the tire and loading information label lists the wrong combined weight of occupants and cargo. As a result, you could overload the vehicle.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Atlas and 2020-2021 Atlas Cross Sport vehicles equipped with accessory side steps. The reduced Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) label, reflecting the additional weight of the side steps, was not installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Safety Risk
Without the reduced GVWR label, the vehicle could be overloaded, leading to a loss of control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will install the reduced GVWR label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 31, 2022. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 09D9.
On certain vehicles, if the hazard lights are switched on while the ignition is off, the lights on some interior switches may not work. When the ignition and lights are turned on, the lights on the switches may stay off. Canadian regulations require certain switches to light up when the ignition is on and the lights are switched on.
Note: If the hazard lights are switched off, then the ignition is cycled to off - and back on again - the switch lights should work properly.
Additional note: This is an expansion of Mercedes-Benz recall 5493102 (Transport Canada Recall No. 2020-062).

The caps that cover the low-beam headlight horizontal adjustment screws are missing, which can allow the headlights to be improperly adjusted. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The owner's manual for certain vehicles lists the wrong units for the recommended tire pressures. If you rely on what is printed in the owner's manual, you may not inflate the tires properly. Driving a vehicle with tires that are not inflated correctly could cause a loss of vehicle stability and/or lead to a tire failure.

Daimler Vans USA, LLC (DVUSA) is recalling certain 2021 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles. The gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) may be improperly stated on the tire and loading label. Tesla, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Model S, Model X, Model Y, and 2017-2022 Model 3 vehicles. The Boombox function allows sounds to be played through an external speaker while the vehicle is in motion, which may obscure the Pedestrian Warning System (PWS) sounds. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 141, "Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles."

Pedestrians may be unaware of an approaching vehicle if the PWS sounds are obscured, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Tesla will perform an over-the-air (OTA) software update that will disable the Boombox functionality when the vehicle is in Drive, Neutral and Reverse modes, free of charge. Under certain conditions, the seat belt reminder chime may not sound when you start the vehicle and your seat belt is not buckled. Canadian regulations require both a seat belt reminder sound and visual telltale when a driver is not wearing their seat belt.

A seat belt warning that does not work correctly may not remind you to buckle your seat belt. Not wearing your seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy
Tesla will email a notice to owners and provide an over-the-air firmware update in early February 2022 to fix this problem. There is no further action required if your vehicle has firmware release 2021.43.101.1 or 2022.4.5, or a later release.
Tesla, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Model S and Model X, 2017-2022 Model 3, and 2020-2022 Model Y vehicles. The audible chime may not activate when the vehicle starts and the driver has not buckled their seat belt. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

On certain vehicles, a warning label has some small errors. The label states that the vehicle is not intended for use on "public highways", where it should have said "public roads". Also, some vehicles were referred to as a "restricted-use motorcycle" rather than a "restricted-use vehicle". Canadian regulations require a company to use specific words on warning labels.

These small errors do not affect safety.
Remedy
This is not a recall. Suzuki has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles have the correct wording on the warning label.
On certain vehicles, the airbag warning label on the passenger-side sun visor does not have both English and French text. Canadian regulations require that information on the label must be bilingual.
