The low beam headlights on the affected vehicles may not be properly adjusted. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Assoc. Equipment."

If the low-beam headlights are out of adjustment, the driver's visibility may be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Land Rover Defender vehicles equipped with Raised Air Intake (RAI) aftermarket accessory equipment, with part number VPLEP0543. The raised air intake may not be secured properly, which can allow the intake to detach from the vehicle.

A detached raised air intake can fall off the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy

BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2018-2019 BMW X3 xDrive30i, X3 sDrive30i, and X3 M40i vehicles equipped with the "Active Lane Keeping Assistant" option. The steering wheel may be incompatible with the lane keeping assistant function and may not detect if the driver's hands are off the wheel.
Safety Risk
If the sensors do not properly detect the driver's hands are off the wheel, the driver may not be alerted by one or more warning signals, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy

CONSEQUENCE OF NON-COMPLIANCE: THERE WOULD BE NO INDICATION TO THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE THAT BRAKE FLUID WAS LOW. LOW BRAKE FLUID CAN BE CAUSED BY A LEAK IN THE SYSTEM WHICH MAY RESULT IN PARTIAL OR COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKES AND AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL CORRECT THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT FOR THE BRAKE WARNING SYSTEM SO THAT THE WARNING LAMP WILL ILLUMINATE WHEN THE LOW LEVEL SWITCH IS ACTIVATED.

On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 23C41 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-671) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required.
On certain trucks, the turn signal telltale may flash at the same speed when a turn signal bulb fails. As a result, you may not notice when a turn signal bulb is not working. Canadian regulations require a change in the turn signal flash rate when a bulb fails.
