Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2007-2012 Veracruz vehicles manufactured from December 26, 2006, through July 24, 2012. The affected vehicles may experience an oil leak from the front cylinder bank valve cover gasket. If there is a sufficient amount of oil dropped onto the alternator, the alternator will be damaged causing the charging system to become inoperative.
Safety Risk
If the alternator is damaged, the charging system warning lamp in the instrument cluster will illuminate, and the engine will lose power and the vehicle will eventually stop operating while being driven. An unexpected failure of motive power while driving increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will inspect/repair or replace the alternator and the front valve cover gasket, free of charge. Hyundai sent out an interim letter to owners on September 3, 2014. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-800-633-5151. Hyundai's number for this recall is 121.
On certain vehicles, the intake valves may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the valves could break and cause the engine to fail.
Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 2.7L or 3.0L EcoBoost engine. This problem would cause the engine to run rough and the engine malfunction indicator lamp to turn on.
Safety Risk
An engine failure could cause a sudden loss of power to the wheels and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the engine.

On certain CB750K, extreme oil pressure variation, such as caused when the engine is repeatedly revved-up immediately after starting in cold weather, could cause the countershaft oil seal to split allowing a leakage of oil. If the rider is unaware of the leak and operates the vehicle, oil may come in contact with the rear tire resulting in a reduction of traction.
Certain motorcycles may suffer clutch assembly failure while being ridden. Parts of the clutch could work loose resulting in clutch fragments/debris being thrown like projectiles through the engine block. As a result, the rider may receive serious injuries or death.
On certain motorcycles, a defect may exist in the lower cam-chain drive sprocket which may cause it to fail. This failure could cause the engine to lock-up which could result in a loss of control and a vehicle crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will remove the right side engine access cover to visibly inspect the lower crankshaft cam-drive sprocket for cracks. Engine that fail the visual inspection will be replaced.

On certain vehicles, the cooler for Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) module may develop an internal leak and coolant could mix with diesel engine soot/sediment. In rare circumstances, this condition could result in smouldering particles and lead to the melting of the intake manifold, increasing the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
