The 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale has 3 recalls, the most serious involving two visibility issues: daytime running lights that may fail to turn on, and a rearview camera that may not display an image when reversing. Both of those defects reduce how well the driver and other road users can see the vehicle or what is behind it. The third recall applies only to plug-in hybrid models, where the pedestrian alert siren may be missing or disconnected, meaning the vehicle produces no audible warning to people on foot when backing up.
