Defect
On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the daytime running lights (DRLs) not to turn on. As a result, the vehicles may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations.
Safety Risk
DRLs that don't turn on could reduce visibility and make the vehicle less visible to others. These issues could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.
