The 2022 Audi A3 has 7 recalls, the most serious involving the front seatbelt pretensioners and the front passenger airbag, either of which can fail to properly protect occupants in a crash.
The seatbelt pretensioners on the driver and front passenger seats may not generate enough force to hold occupants in place during a collision. Separately, the front passenger airbag may have been folded incorrectly during assembly, which can cause it to tear rather than deploy fully when needed. Three recalls address rear visibility: the rearview camera can display a blank screen or fail to show an image at all when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, leaving the driver without a view of what is behind the car. Two recalls involve child seat anchors in the rear seat: the anchor points may be labeled with the wrong symbol or marked inconsistently with the owner's manual, which can lead to a child seat being installed incorrectly and not holding securely in a crash.
