The fourth recall involves the fuel level sender, a sensor that tracks how much fuel remains in the tank. On affected vehicles, the sender can stick and report an inaccurate reading on the dashboard gauge, so the displayed fuel level may not reflect reality. A driver who trusts a falsely high reading may unknowingly run out of fuel, causing the engine to stall unexpectedly.
