The 2018 Audi A8 has two recalls, both involving fire risk: a fuel rail that can leak gasoline near potential ignition sources, and an engine compartment seal that can come loose and contact hot engine components.
Both issues raise the same underlying concern: fuel or flammable material reaching a heat source and igniting. The fuel rail defect affects the left and right sides of the fuel injection system, where a leak can allow raw gasoline to escape into the engine bay. The hood seal issue is separate in origin but similar in consequence, as the loosened seal material can press against hot surfaces under the hood.
