The 2024 Audi E-Tron has 4 recalls, the most serious involving a brake pedal that can detach from the brake booster entirely, leaving the driver with no ability to slow or stop the vehicle.
The front passenger airbag also has a concern: the passenger seat sensor that determines whether the seat is occupied by an adult or a child can misclassify its reading, causing the front passenger airbag to be deactivated when it should not be. In a crash, a suppressed airbag means the passenger rides without that protection. On the charging side, a defect in the onboard charging system can cause the charging outlet or cable to overheat, raising the risk of fire during a charging session. Finally, a software error can prevent the rearview camera image from appearing when the vehicle is in reverse, leaving the driver without a view of what is directly behind the car while backing up.
