The 2016 Audi RS 7 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the turbocharger oil supply strainer, which can become blocked and starve the bearings of lubrication, causing the turbine shaft to break or seize and potentially stalling the engine while driving.

A second recall covers the passenger seat occupant detection system. A sensing mat built into the front passenger seat can wear or develop stress damage, causing the detection module to misread the seat as empty or occupied by a child. In a crash, this can result in the front passenger airbag failing to deploy correctly, reducing protection for an adult occupant. The third recall is a label issue: the tire information placard on certain vehicles incorrectly states the combined maximum load capacity as 1,146 lbs when the true limit is 992 lbs. A driver relying on that figure could load the vehicle roughly 150 lbs beyond its actual safe limit, overloading the tires and raising the risk of a crash.
