The 2026 Chevrolet Equinox has 3 recalls, the most serious involving 21-inch Continental all-season tires that can lose part or all of their tread while driving, which raises the risk of a crash.
The other two recalls affect the EV version of this vehicle. The pedestrian alert system may not increase in volume enough as the vehicle transitions from stopped to rolling at low speeds, meaning people on foot nearby may not hear it coming in time to react. There is also a documentation recall: the owner's manual contains information that does not accurately reflect the vehicle, which means owners consulting it for guidance on operating or safety features could follow instructions that do not apply correctly to their vehicle.
