The 2019 Chevrolet Express Cutaway has two recalls, both rated equally serious: one where unused wiring for an optional rear HVAC system can corrode and overheat, raising the risk of a fire, and one where the brake lines can wear against optional body mounts and leak fluid, potentially causing brake failure.
The brake line issue only affects vehicles equipped with the optional GM-provided body mounts, where insufficient clearance allows contact between the brake line and the mount hardware over time. The wiring concern involves exposed, unused connectors in the optional rear HVAC blower motor circuit that were left in place rather than properly terminated, allowing corrosion to build up in the circuit.
