On 6.2L V8 gas models, internal engine components can fail and bring the engine to a sudden stop, which can lead to a crash. There is also a transfer case concern on four-wheel and all-wheel drive models where the transfer case can cause front or rear wheels to lock up unexpectedly, also raising the risk of a crash. On the brakes side, a software issue in the electronic brake control module can prevent a low brake fluid warning light from appearing on the dashboard, meaning the driver may not know brake fluid is low until braking performance has already dropped.
