2015 Dodge Grand Caravan

The 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan has 5 recalls, the most serious involving the automatic transmission pump, which can seize and cut hydraulic pressure, causing the vehicle to lose drive power while in motion.

The windshield is the subject of two related recalls: on certain vehicles, the windshield was installed using expired urethane primer, which weakens the bond holding it in place. In a crash, a poorly bonded windshield can be pushed out of its frame rather than staying in place to support the roof and keep occupants inside. There is also a recall affecting vehicles that have had windshield repairs performed with the same expired primer, where the re-bonded glass may not meet the retention strength required under Canadian safety standards.

On the equipment side, vehicles fitted with Kidde plastic-handle or push-button "Pindicator" fire extinguishers have a recall covering units that can fail to discharge when activated, leaving the extinguisher useless in an actual fire. Finally, vehicles converted with QRT-Deluxe or QRT-Max wheelchair restraint systems are covered under a separate recall involving the wheelchair securement hardware, which can fail to hold the chair in place during transit and allow it to shift or break free.
