The 2011 Ford E-150 has 3 recalls, the most serious affecting CNG-converted vehicles where a rear cylinder bracket can fail, allowing the compressed natural gas cylinder to break free and create a fuel leak and fire risk.
The remaining two recalls both involve Ricon wheelchair lifts installed on certain mobility-converted vans. In one, the lift platform's side plates can crack and cause the platform to separate and fall against the lift door. In the other, bearings can shift out of position, allowing the stowed platform to move excessively until its mounting fails. Both issues leave the lift unable to safely support a wheelchair user.
