The remaining two recalls both involve Ricon wheelchair lifts installed on certain vans. In one case, cracks in the lift platform's side plates can cause the platform to separate and drop against the vehicle's lift door, leaving it unusable and potentially trapping or injuring anyone on or near it. In the other, bearings inside the lift mechanism can shift out of position, causing the stowed platform to move excessively and its mounting to fail, with the same risk of the platform becoming unsecured during operation.
