2009 Ford F-350 Super Duty

The 2009 Ford F-350 Super Duty has 2 recalls, both involving oil that can leak from a power take-off assembly onto a heat-insulating blanket wrapped around the exhaust, creating a fire risk.

Both recalls affect vehicles that were modified after leaving the factory and fitted with certain Muncie power take-off units. One applies to chassis modified by Jerr-Dan, and the other to chassis modified by Vanair and paired with specific driven air compressor systems. In both cases, the leaking oil soaks into the thermal blanket on the exhaust and can ignite from the heat below it.
