On the braking side, certain vehicles left the factory without grease in the S-cam lubrication tubes on the front and rear axles. Without lubrication, corrosion can build up over time and prevent the brake from fully releasing at one or more wheels, which generates excessive heat in that brake and can extend stopping distances.
