The 2007 GMC Envoy has 3 recalls, the most serious being a fire risk from the driver's door power window switch that can short and ignite even while the vehicle is parked and unattended.
Fluid can seep into the driver's door master window switch, corroding the circuit board inside until it shorts out. Because the switch remains powered even when the engine is off, a fire can start without warning in an unoccupied vehicle. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the issue, which is why this defect appears across more than one recall campaign. On the lighting side, the headlamps on certain vehicles can fail to illuminate, leaving the driver without forward visibility at night and making the Envoy harder for oncoming traffic to see.
