Both battery issues trace to the same core danger: the truck cuts power unexpectedly, leaving the driver without propulsion in traffic. In the first case, connections inside the battery pack can be misaligned or poorly welded, interrupting the flow of electricity to the motors. In the second, water can seep into a battery enclosure that was not fully sealed, building up over time and triggering the same abrupt power loss. Either situation can create a hazardous condition on the road, particularly at highway speeds where coasting to a stop without drive power leaves the vehicle vulnerable to rear-end collisions. There is also a lighting concern: a software fault in the taillight system can cause one or both taillights to go dark entirely, stay fully lit when they should not, or only partially illuminate. Any of these states makes the truck harder for following drivers to read correctly, whether that means not seeing the vehicle in the dark or misreading brake signals.
