1975 GMC P SERIES Recalls — Canada & USA

The 1975 GMC P Series has two recalls of equal severity, one involving front suspension ball joints that can separate and cause the suspension to collapse without warning, and one involving rear wheels. On the suspension side, the front lower control arm ball joint stud can pull free from its socket, causing one side of the front suspension to drop suddenly and leaving the driver with little or no steering or stability control. On vehicles equipped with dual rear wheels, the side ring on the rear wheel does not seat properly against the rim due to a size mismatch, which can allow the ring to come loose while driving.
