2006 GMC T-SERIES Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2006 GMC T-Series has two recalls, both involving the air brake system, where defects can delay or weaken braking response and raise the risk of a crash or rollaway. The parking brake recall affects trucks equipped with SR-7 Bendix brake valves, where a check valve inside the valve assembly may not seat correctly, allowing air to leak internally. When the driver pulls the dash valve button to park, the spring brakes can take longer than expected to engage, leaving the truck free to roll without warning. The service brake recall involves an air brake application valve that was configured incorrectly, restricting airflow through the system and extending stopping distances in an emergency stop beyond safe limits.
