What can fail
The air compressor may fail to build sufficient pressure for the air brake system. If stationary with brakes applied, the brakes stay locked. If moving, the rear spring parking brakes engage and stop the vehicle.
What the fix does
Dealers will inspect the air compressor's pressure output and either remove the suppression valve or replace the entire air compressor assembly.
