The 2023 GMC Yukon has 6 recalls, the most serious involving rear suspension bolts that can break and cause a rear wheel to fall out of alignment, and an engine that can fail while driving on 6.2L V8 models.
Two recalls are specific to certain engine configurations. On vehicles with the 6-cylinder diesel engine, an incorrect fuel tank may have been installed that can leak fuel in a rollover, raising the risk of fire. On 4WD and AWD models, a transfer case defect can cause front or rear wheels to lock up unexpectedly. On the electrical side, daytime running lights may stay on when the headlights are activated, creating glare for other drivers. The brake control module software on some vehicles may also fail to display a warning light when brake fluid is low, meaning reduced braking performance could go unnoticed until stopping distances are affected.
