The 2020 Honda Insight has 6 recalls, the most serious involving a passenger seat sensor that can misread occupant presence and cause the airbag to deploy incorrectly in a crash, raising the risk of injury.
Two separate fuel pump recalls cover this vehicle: the low-pressure fuel pump inside the tank can fail and cause the engine to stall while driving. There is also a hybrid system concern where the DC-DC converter can shut down and stop the 12-volt battery from recharging, which can result in a sudden loss of drive power. On the electrical side, a software error in the body control module can disrupt communication with other systems, causing the windshield wipers, defroster, rearview camera, or exterior lights to stop working.
