The 2020 Honda Ridgeline has 10 recalls, the most serious involving the brakes: the brake master cylinder can separate from the booster assembly, resulting in reduced braking or a complete loss of brake function.
A second brake-related recall covers rear suspension components, primarily the rear control arm, which can corrode and fail in certain high-salt states, causing loss of vehicle handling. The hood latch striker can also separate and allow the hood to fly open while driving, blocking the driver's view entirely. Two recalls address the front passenger seat sensor, which can misread occupant weight and cause the airbag to deploy when it should not, raising the risk of injury in a crash. On the fuel side, the fuel pump can fail and stall the engine while driving. Visibility concerns make up the remaining recalls: the rearview camera wiring harness in the tailgate can fatigue and break, preventing the backup image from appearing, and the heating pads behind both side mirrors may not be properly bonded, allowing the mirror glass to detach and reduce the driver's view to the rear.
