Two of these recalls address the same problem: the brake pad retaining clips on the front caliper may have been mounted incorrectly, allowing the pads to come loose or detach entirely while riding. A separate pair of recalls covers a cracking defect in the front brake caliper body itself, where the caliper can fracture near the upper guide pin and cause partial or complete loss of front brake function.
