Defect

On certain electric vehicles, the electric power control unit (EPCU) may not be sealed correctly. As a result, coolant could leak inside the EPCU and onto the circuit board. If this happens, the vehicle could suddenly lose power to the wheels.

Safety Risk

A sudden loss of power to the wheels may increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the EPCU.
