The 2019 Indian Springfield has 3 recalls, the most serious involving a circuit breaker that can trip without warning and cut engine power while riding, raising the risk of a crash.

A second electrical issue involves the gear position switch, where corroded contacts can cause the display to show neutral when the bike is actually in gear. If the rider starts the motorcycle in that condition, it can lurch forward unexpectedly. There is also a concern with the vehicle control module's electrical connection, which can fail and cut power to the front lights, including the headlight, reducing visibility at night or in low-light conditions.
