The 2019 Indian Springfield has 3 recalls, the most serious being a defective 10-amp circuit breaker that can trip without warning, cutting engine power and stalling the motorcycle at any speed.
The second recall involves the gear position switch, whose electrical contacts can oxidize over time and send a false neutral signal to the display. When that happens, the instrument cluster shows neutral even though the transmission is still in gear, and if the rider starts the bike in that state, the motorcycle can lurch forward unexpectedly. The third recall concerns the vehicle control module's electrical connection, which can fail and cut power to the front lighting, including the headlight, leaving the rider without forward illumination and reducing visibility to other traffic at night or in low-light conditions.
