Summary
The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace has 6 recalls, the most serious involving fuel leaks and a rear driveshaft that can detach while driving, both of which raise the risk of a crash or fire.
Two separate fuel system issues affect certain trims: on vehicles with the 2.0L diesel engine, a fuel return hose can leak fuel onto the road, creating a skid hazard for other vehicles and a fire risk near any ignition source. On vehicles with the 3.0L engine, a fuel pump mounting bolt may be too long, leaving the pump unsecured and causing the fuel line to crack and leak into the engine compartment. On the drivetrain side, certain automatic transmission models may have been fitted with a rear driveshaft that is too short or otherwise incorrect, which can cause it to separate from the differential, leading to loss of drive power, vibration, or an oil leak. There is also an electrical concern: the instrument cluster can go blank without warning, hiding vehicle speed and warning lights from the driver.
