The 2020 Jaguar F-Pace has 3 recalls, the most serious being a passenger seat belt retractor that can fail to lock properly, leaving a child seat inadequately secured in a crash.
The seat belt retractor issue appears across two filings but describes the same underlying problem: the automatic locking function can either be defective or deactivate too early, preventing the belt from holding a child restraint firmly. The vehicle's built-in lower anchor points are not affected by this defect and remain usable for securing a child seat. There is also a software issue with the automatic high beam system, where the instrument cluster does not indicate when high beams switch on automatically, leaving the driver unaware that oncoming traffic is receiving full-brightness headlights.
