The 2021 Kia Telluride has 4 recalls, the most serious being two separate fire risks: a front power seat motor that can overheat and catch fire, and a tow hitch wiring harness where moisture and debris can cause an electrical short that also leads to fire.
A drivetrain concern covers certain vehicles where the intermediate shaft and right front driveshaft may not be fully engaged, allowing the vehicle to roll away while in park. On the safety equipment side, the front passenger seat sensor may fail to detect a child restraint system in that seat, which means the passenger airbag could deploy in a crash with a child present.
