The 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport has 7 recalls, the most serious affecting PHEV models: a drive belt failure can cause the engine to overheat, rupture a coolant pipe, and leak fluid onto the turbocharger, raising the risk of an engine fire. The rear seat belt retractors can deactivate too early, which may prevent a child safety seat from staying properly secured in a crash. On the visibility side, water can get into the rearview camera on vehicles with the Surround Camera System, causing the image to go blank or appear distorted when reversing. PHEV models also have a separate concern where the low-speed pedestrian warning sound may not activate when the vehicle is stationary and in reverse, leaving pedestrians unaware of the vehicle's presence. Two tire pressure labeling recalls affect vehicles built with specific wheel sizes: those with 19-inch wheels may have incorrect pressure values printed on the tire placard, and those with 20-, 21-, or 22-inch wheels may see incorrect recommended pressures displayed in the instrument cluster. In both cases, driving on underinflated tires can cause tread separation or reduce vehicle stability.
