The 2007 Lexus ES350 has 3 recalls, all centered on the same serious defect: the front passenger airbag inflator can rupture and send metal fragments into the cabin, with the potential to cause serious injury or death.

All three recalls trace back to the same Takata airbag inflator issue. The passenger-side airbag inflator can fail explosively rather than deploying cleanly, scattering sharp metal shards toward anyone seated in the front passenger seat or nearby. Two of the three recalls specifically target vehicles that were originally sold or registered in high-humidity states and territories, including Florida, Texas, Hawaii, Louisiana, and others, because prolonged exposure to heat and moisture accelerates the deterioration that makes rupture more likely. The third recall covers a broader range of model years and vehicles, which may include certain 2007 ES350s regardless of where they were registered. Because all three filings describe the same physical failure, the remedy is the same: replacement of the passenger airbag inflator module.
