The 2016 Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 has 5 recalls, the most serious involving an airbag that can deploy without warning and a rear axle differential mounting flange that can fracture, causing driveshaft failure and sudden loss of power.
On the structural side, two related recalls address a front roof panel that can detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard. One covers panels that were not properly bonded during original assembly; the other covers vehicles where a prior repair attempt did not fully resolve the bonding issue. There is also a software fault in the emergency call system where an incorrect date and time can cause the system to relay the wrong vehicle location to emergency responders, potentially delaying their arrival.
