The 2019 Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE43 has 5 recalls, the most serious being water intrusion in the spare tire well that can damage the fuel pump control unit and cause the engine to stall while driving.
Two recalls involve the front roof panel, the strip between the windshield and panoramic sunroof. The adhesive bonding on this panel can deteriorate or may not have been correctly applied during a prior repair attempt, allowing the panel to detach from the vehicle and become a hazard for other drivers. There are also two recalls covering the automatic emergency call system. In one case, the system can be disabled entirely and fail to connect to emergency services after a crash. In the other, it may dispatch responders to the wrong location. Both issues delay help reaching occupants following a collision.
