The 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 has 5 recalls, the most serious being an airbag that can deploy without warning, raising the risk of injury and loss of vehicle control.
Two recalls involve the front roof panel, which can separate from the vehicle and become a road hazard. One of these applies when prior repair work on the panel was not bonded correctly, and either way the panel detaching while driving poses a collision risk to following traffic. On the engine side, certain vehicles built in a narrow window in mid-to-late 2015 have camshaft welds that can fail, causing engine damage and a potential stall. There is also a software fault in the emergency call system where an incorrect date and time can cause the system to relay a wrong vehicle location to emergency responders, delaying their response.
